Pall-Ex has continued to demonstrate its commitment to achieving excellence across the organisation after driving away with the coveted Team of the Year award at this year’s Motor Transport Awards.
It is the third time in the last nine years that Pall-Ex has won the Team of the Year award, achieving this in 2015 and 2017 previously. This highlights the forward-thinking culture that permeates through the business, focusing on growth, innovation and service excellence.
The Leicestershire-based distribution network introduced its Commercial Excellence Programme in 2022 to support its members and accelerate growth in a highly competitive market. Made up of employees from different functions across the business including sales, marketing, recruitment and analytics, the team strived to increase market share and improve member profitability in a mature sector.
Pall-Ex made significant investments to set the plan in motion, implementing a completely new team with the sole focus of supporting network members with their commercial development.
Spearheaded by Commercial Director, Michelle Naylor, the team came together to solve the biggest problem that UK pallet networks faced and provided its members with the tools, support and sales community they needed to thrive. She commented: “I am so proud that we were presented with the prestigious Team of the Year award and want to thank the entire team at Pall-Ex for all the hard work they have put in over the last two years.

Within a year, the team generated excellent commercial results for both Pall-Ex and its network members, which saw the business successfully growing ahead of the market and exceeding its targets on all fronts.
