Nationwide warehousing and logistics company, and Pall-Ex member, FTS Group has further cemented its commitment to grassroots sports through the addition of new special edition liveried vehicles.
FTS Group, which is comprised of Forward Trucking Services, FTS Commercials, FTS Logistics and Stand and Deliver Transport, has been a champion of grassroots sport for the past 12 years. The group has partnered with several sporting clubs through a range of sponsorship and community engagement initiatives.
The project was first envisioned by FTS Group Managing Director Peter Samuel, an avid sportsman and former player/coach at Fullerians RFC. Recognising the significance that sponsorship can have on local clubs Peter wanted to give back to the community and support emerging sporting talent, mirroring the support he received in his career.
Currently, FTS Group sponsors three established teams; Fullerians RFC, Old Albanians RFC and Oakley Racing. The Group has also recently sponsored the new start-up team Fullerians FC, providing vital funding as the club begins to take shape.
In addition to supporting teams, FTS Group sponsors individual players, supporting them with their individual sporting journeys. Notable players include Liam Boyd of Fullerians RFC, Harry Samuel of Old Albanian RFC and Freddy Oakley of Oakley Racing who all feature within the group’s new special edition liveries, which promote the rising sporting talents and teams.
The new liveries have become a welcome sight in the local community. Clubs and individuals have even started competitions to spot the trucks “in the wild.” To enhance community engagement, FTS Group has provided branded merchandise as prizes in these competitions.
When discussing the new liveried vehicles and the benefit this will have to the community Peter commented: “If you have positive energy, you will create positive outcomes. We hope our support and promotion of members of the community will not only inspire others but also help to create energy around grassroots initiatives.”
