We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our friendly team. You'll be responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications. This role plays a key part in delivering a high-quality product to our users.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Drive the test function to ensure continuous, incremental test delivery, ensuring Pall-Ex Group achieve the highest quality standards within the ISO 27001 framework.
Design and execute a variety of test cases (manual and automated) to identify software defects. These test cases should comprehensively cover all functionalities according to the requirements.
Collaborate effectively with developers to diagnose, reproduce, and resolve reported issues. This may involve providing detailed steps to replicate the bug and expected results.
Participate in test planning meetings and discussions, providing valuable insights based on testing experience.
Be an active participant in daily stand-up meetings offering experience and advice to the rest of the QA team.
Maintain a managed and transparent view of all test activity to ensure there is a high standard across our team.
Transition knowledge into the IT support team to ensure that knowledge of new functionality and fixes is disseminated effectively.
Effective understanding and utilisation of story points to better estimate test completion times.
To ensure you help other staff develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of Pall-Ex and its members and partners
To ensure yours and your teams’ knowledge of software testing within the logistics industry is kept up to date and relevant by networking/researching/reading blogs and news sources
Strengths, Skills and Competencies
Previous experience in software testing
ISTQB qualification (essential)
Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
Knowledge of working within an agile framework
Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Team Foundation Server / Azure Dev Ops
API Testing ( Postman )
Test Automation ( Selenium / Cypress )
Highly organised and an excellent communicator
Confidence to problem solve and make decisions
